In this five-week course, you will learn the fundamentals of ceramics, including clay preparation, handbuilding methods, surface decorating, glazing, and firing. You'll leave the class with a deeper understanding of the craft and a finished piece that you can be proud of. Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore their creativity and learn a new skill. Classes run weekly for five weeks, so sign up now and unleash your inner artist. Small scale projects as well as large works can be made during this class. The only limit is your imagination! In this class, we will explore things such as - Wedging and clay preparation - Coil, Slab, Extruded, and slump molded forms - Additional handbuilding methods - surface decorating with engobes - Finishing of work with decoration - Glazing of work and firing
