Christmas Clay Workshop – For Parents, Kids & Teenagers

Get into the Christmas spirit with a creative clay workshop at Cone 7!

Join us for a festive 3-hour handbuilding session where parents, children and teenagers can create their own Christmas figures, ornaments and decorations using clay.

From cheerful gnomes, elves and snowmen to reindeer, small houses, owls, penguins, cats and imaginary creatures, there are plenty of possibilities! You can follow our examples or bring your own ideas to life.

Our instructor will guide you through different handbuilding techniques, helping you shape and decorate your creations. Younger children can explore simple, playful forms, while teenagers and adults can experiment with more detailed figures.

During the workshop, you'll also decorate your pieces using coloured slips, adding patterns, details and festive colours.

After the workshop, we'll apply a transparent glaze to your creations for you, bringing out the colours and giving them a beautiful glossy finish before the final firing.

Who can join?

This workshop is open to parents, children aged 6+ and teenagers. No previous ceramics experience is required!

Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Families, friends and individuals are all welcome.

Practical information

We offer separate prices for children and adults. Please select the appropriate ticket when booking.

After the workshop, your creations will be carefully dried, transparently glazed and fired by our team. We'll contact you when they're ready for collection before Christmas !
